Windows Mobile Device Centre goes RTM

Posted by kyle on February 26th, 2007 filed in Vista General

The latest version of Windows Mobile Device Centre has RTM’ed and can be downloaded from here. WMDC is now up to Version 6 for Vista. Odd number as it was at Version 3 during Beta!

Once you combine that with a Mobile 5 device you are cooking. The new functionality makes it much easier to grab pictures and videos from your mobile device and in addition the whole sync experience has been made a lot easier.

For me however the adding and removing of applications from my mobile device is what sold it for me – the ActiveSync layout for adding and removing apps was (IMHO) clunky. The update has made it a lot clearer what is going where and unistalling applications is much easier.

Enjoy
