Vista Ultimate goodies..

Expect to have a few posts over the next little while that I have been working on.. the first of which is a quick chat about the new downloads that are part of the Ulitmate extras.
The first one is the DreamScene background – this means that you can have a movie as a background. I have to say that this is pretty cool – however being objective from a business sense.. not really sure what the benefit is – it could be used to display a corporate advert maybe? From a home user perspective and truly from a geek perspective though.. yes.. way cool.. I have been playing around with various videos.. one thing that I assumed from the first download was that I was stuck with the default video.
But it was not the case – you can use any WMV or MPEG video. So I have been playing with having various movies playing.. The only other thing to remember is that you need to have an Aero Compatible video card – and that it is as yet still in “preview” so things might change before final release.
The other download that came through was “Texas Hold ‘em” poker – now.. not being a poker player I have had a little bit of a play around with this.. and it looks interesting – heck any time you can bet as much as you like and not actually loose any real money – always a good thing!
