Certification goodness
Posted by kyle on June 8th, 2008 filed in UncategorizedAs I have said before (I think and if I haven’t then this is a correction) I support the premise of certification – the idea of being able to prove to someone that you have a certain level of knowledge is what certs are for. Do they prove that you can do a job – nope – but they do give you a baseline – if you had 2 candidates for a job – one with a cert and one without but with the same history – I would hire the one with the cert. (I say that before anyone jumps in and says that yes it is all well and good but certs don’t prove you can do a job!) .
Getting back to certs – on Trika‘s site there are some webcasts to help you prepare to take some of the new exams. These are presented by a couple of friends of mine, Gordo and Zach – Gordo is presenting on 70-640 Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring and Zach is presenting on 70-620 Windows Vista, Configuring.
If you click on the links you can watch the presentations (both about 1 hour long – but if you are studying for either – then these will give you a good heads up)
